SanDisk Introduces Fastest UHS-I microSDXC card with 400GB

At the Mobile World Congress 2018, Western Digital introduced the SanDisk Extreme UHS-I microSDXC 400GB card, the world’s fastest UHS-I flash memory card. We looked at it once.

This presented map shows in any case where the way goes for memory cards. PCIe-enabled memory cards are the future, because they provide the performance we need in times of ever-increasing multimedia files and user demands. The 400GB SanDisk Extreme UHS-I card offers up to 160MB / s reading speed and up to 90MB / s write speed. This makes it more than 50% faster than current SanDisk Extreme UHS-I microSD cards. In addition, the card also offers the A2 standard of the SD Association for lightning fast loading and launching apps.

Why do you need 400GB on a microSD card? First of course, for video footage, we now have smartphones and actioncams to record the videos in 4K with 60fps. Here very quickly very large amounts of data that do not just want to be saved but at the end have to be read again if you want to transfer the data to the PC to edit it. 400 GB sounds a lot, but who takes full-time videos will notice how fast you can fill a 64GB card, for example.
